The Canadian Government’s Business Immigration Program requires that a person (family) seeking to establish in Canada and obtain Permanent Residency through an investment of $800,000 or to own and manage businesses in Canada. They also must meet criteria regarding some experience and/or net worth.

Under Investment Option, the investment of $800,000 is managed by Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC), branch of the Government of Canada. This amount is guaranteed by the government and later returned to the investor immigrant without interest at the completion of about 5 years.

Under Entrepreneur Option, Canada seeks to attract entrepreneurs who want to become Canadian Permanent Resident through establishing a business in Canada and have a net work of $300,000.  The interested party also needs to successfully demonstrate their business experience and capacity to be able to start and sustain a business meeting certain criteria established by the Canadian Government or Provinces.
