Mr. Ashish (“Ash”) Duvadie is a Barrister & Solicitor (Lawyer) in the province of Ontario, Canada. He is a member of the Law Society of Upper Canada (LSUC). He is also a member of the Canadian Bar Association, Ontario Bar Association and Criminal Lawyers Association. Mr. Duvadie has Bachelors of Science in Finance from USA and also holds two Law degrees (LL.L. and J.D.) from Canada. He is fluent in English, French and Nepalese.
Mr. Duvadie’s law practice is limited to Criminal, Divorce, Family and Canadian Immigration Law. He currently practices in the in association with Michael Crystal and Arghavan Gerami in Ottawa, Canada.
At a young age, to pursue further studies, Mr. Duvadie moved to USA. During his studies, he worked part-time for many big and small US companies. During summer holidays, he worked for the State Farm Mutual Insurance Company as a claim adjuster to investigate various types of insurance claims and frauds. There he interacted with lawyers, police officers, investigators and the American judicial system. That job also allowed him to travel to many small town and big cities in the Mid-West of America. He developed a much deeper understanding of North America. He was fascinated by the role and decisions taken by the Judiciary to check and balance Executive Powers and Legislative Powers. The American Bill of Rights and the Canadian Charter of Rights also sanctified his belief in the Rule of Law, Civil Liberty and how court(s) or tribunal(s) could be a proper venue to ensure individual rights.
During his studies, Mr. Duvadie volunteered in local communities for various events and organizations. After his graduation, he worked with multinationals in the City of Boston and Cambridge in the state of Massachusetts, USA. After working in Cambridge for 3-4 years, he took some time off to travel and pursue different interests. Later, he moved to Canada and pursued his interest in French language and then Law. During his studies, he also worked as an intern at the Department of Justice, Government of Canada.
Mr. Duvadie has appeared in front of the Immigration and Refugee Board of Canada, Immigration Appeal Division, Ontario Court of Justice, Ontario Superior Court of Justice and various Canadian Tribunals.
